Alex claims to have been born in a poor, corrupt slavic country. From a young age he quickly realized he needed to feign ignorance and put on a mask, Lie in order to survive the horrible people that surrounded him, be it his family or others.

He struggled with school, eventually feeling fear at the simple thought of being called up in class due to his inability to learn the subjects he was already struggling with. Alex could feel the eyes boring into him anytime he was even mentioned, and he began to hate the kids around him.

He was a logical and observant kid for his age, always able to notice what others didn't. After trying to understand the people around him for so long, only one idea remained and it was one where he knew he wasn't the problem. He was just seen as lesser due to things that were not in his control, or had not been a real issue to begin with.

This caused him to begin isolating himself and to stop trying to connect with other people, because he had been convinced he wouldn't find a lot of people willing to accept him. Not really, in the ways that matter. As he grew up, he was able to use what he could and wield the sympathy he could garner, to further survive. After leaving, his parents died due to a freak accident.

• Control/Compulsion - Alex is able to force a person into doing something against their will, or subtly plant an idea in their heads they may want to investigate or play into. It is possible to resist, but almost everyone who has successfully resisted has been affiliated with an Entity or is an Avatar themselves. Furthermore, failing to resist results in a temporary weakening or negation of the compelled person.
• Human - failing to resist as a human and being temporarily weakened will show up overtime as symptoms of a common cold, generally depressive moods, etc.
• Avatar or other - failing to resist as an avatar or otherwise creature and being temporarily negated will show up overtime as a lack of control over what is in their domain and power.
• Transformation - Alex is able to take on a more spider-like form, and is not limited to one species of arachnid. Whilst not limited to having these abilities only in spider form, it can be assumed they are used during these periods the most.
• Speed and Agility - eight legs are certainly enough to dash away into a dark corner and hide, like many spiders do while scheming. It is also implied that Alex can jump fairly high.
• Creation - Alex is able to create more spiders. It is not known if he generates eggs or if they simply manifest into existence.
• Understanding - Servants of The Web have expressed an inner understanding of spiders and can communicate with them as if they were just another person. It is unknown exactly how sentient or conscious the spiders truly are, but Alex reacts to their responses humanely enough for them to seem intelligent.
• Silk - Servants of The Web are able to spin silk or simply create it, for various purposes, such as bindings, traps, listening in, ropes and etc. They are able to control this silk from a distance.
• Senses - Alex can sense vibrations from Webs, giving him a quicker reaction time with threats or finding/recognizing someone, though this may not be limited to just webs, but vibrations in general.
